Pay Per Click (PPC) Management Services

Pay-per-click advertising, also known as paid advertising or PPC advertising services, has an immediate impact and gives your brand a much larger reach and exposure due to first-page exposure on major search engines.

It can be a great way to get a quick surge of traffic and possibly orders, but you must keep paying to keep that position. So, ensure your ad campaigns run as effectively as possible with professional PPC management.

What is meant by PPC in management?

I usually help clients build a new account and PPC campaign. However, some clients already have an existing account set up. In that case, I’m happy to work on that account but will typically create new campaigns and Ad groups to ensure no previous settings may hinder the latest ad campaigns’ success. I also sometimes take over a campaign run by the last incumbent PPC agency and have found many issues when this is the case.

For instance, they will run a campaign based on the client’s brand name. This often provides excellent conversion rates and looks like they are doing a great job of getting sales in, but these prospects were looking for them anyway! So all the client does is pay for the traffic they already would have got as organic traffic! Of course, there may be occasions when you need to defend your brand, but this is much rarer than many a PPC management agency would have their clients think.

So, if you already run your ads campaign or have a PPC management company doing this for you and you aren’t sure if you or they are doing a great job, then I can provide a free PPC audit to determine anywhere I feel you could improve upon. This is at no obligation, and of course, you may want to use this advice yourself or offer feedback to the provider of the PPC management services to consider.

What do PPC campaigns typically look like?

So, what are the hallmarks of successful PPC campaigns? They are often particular campaigns that don’t try to rank for vague phrases, work on exact keyword matching, and have a good selection of negative keywords. Alongside the PPC ads, many ad extensions should be used to increase the ad’s real estate. Also, bidding based on meaningful conversions is highly recommended.

Additionally, the more research is done, the better the outcomes. So, if the client has particular sales data, be it demographics, geography, or spending patterns, it can be advantageous to deploy it. In addition, this can include creating dedicated landing pages to ensure the most tailored content to their search. Also, I find that it is better to work at a generally small scale initially to try and ensure a campaign works effectively before spending a significant budget on an untested Google ads campaign.

So, to summarise I develop the best Quality Scores (and hence lower bidding costs) through careful and expedient campaigns that rigorously test ads, search terms, and audiences before scaling these into bigger campaigns.

How much does a PPC manager cost?

I typically charge £340+VAT to set up a Google AdWords campaign. Of course, you’ll need a budget to spend on ad traffic, but I can help you determine an adequate budget. Included this is:

Adwords Account set up (if needed)
Campaign(s) creation
Adwords Groups
Ad creation
Ad extension development
Bidding strategy
Demographics
Locations
Scheduling
Locations
Keywords (and negative keywords)
Conversions

In addition, I include a one-month management fee to ensure that the Ad Campaigns are working correctly. After this, I can also offer ongoing ads managementand reporting to ensure their continued best optimisation with new ad features regularly brought out by Google. I will liaise with your appointed Google Account Manager, so you don’t have to.

When should you choose PPC over SEO?

It’s worth noting that there are certain arenas where SEO can be less effective or simply not applicable. For instance, with specific products for transactional e-shops, traditional SEO may falter, and Product Ads using Google’s Merchant Center may be the more advisable route to gaining exposure due to where search engines give dominance over organic results.

There may also be occasions when you should consider PPC for other platforms like social media and video if you don’t have a big following already since you may increase awareness and followers on your channels.

Finally, if you have a large number of paid or organic visitors, you may also want to consider remarketing to them with ads tailored to their level of familiarity.

PPC Remarketing

Determine the best channels to use to ensure that your offerings are re-seen by existing prospects or target clientele who have already looked for similar items by your competition.

Determining the right social media platform, developing the right messaging, and targeting the right audiences are key to developing a sustainable stream of prospects that can be added to your sales funnels.

LinkedIn can be great for B2B and professional outreach but is highly expensive. I’ve developed successful and cost-effective strategies that are great for aware raising.

Take advantage of specific display advertising, like Product advertising, using Google’s Merchant Center to generate immediate sales from your e-shop. Or use display advertising to showcase outstanding case studies in all their visual glory.

Use overlooked assets, such as previous video work, and repurpose them for video marketing on suitable channels, including YouTube, Vimeo, and Facebook, to captivate your target audiences.

I’ve experience creating successful PPC campaigns across a wide range of platforms, including Google AdWords, Bing, Facebook and LinkedIn.

PPC vs SEO Frequently Asked Questions

Is PPC better than SEO?

So, it might seem odd for an SEO consultant to offer PPC services. After all, isn’t SEO meant to replace wasteful PPC spending?

This can be a common view, but their relationship is a lot more intricate than being polar opposite activities. That’s why I can also offer expertise in Paid Search Ads, Video Advertising, Display Ads, Product Ads, PPC Remarketing, and Social Advertising.

In addition, with normal and dynamic ads, you can do A/B testing in real time to determine what landing page, messaging, propositions, and graphics resonate best with your target audiences.

PPC marketing can be a great digital marketing tool for researching keywords that may have a high search intent and are proven to convert into business. In addition, SEO campaigns can take some time to realise their impact, so PPC can be a good strategy for quick business wins and complementing SEO keyword research.
